4. Follow and record

Complete the checks before recording physical work. Follow steps in order.

  1. Record the preceding maintenance

With the machine cool and unplugged, record which task was completed. Inspect the filter insert, holder, drip tray and frother for correct seating and any damage.

Look for: Only fully assembled, intact user parts proceed to a powered check.

    Manual: p10 §11; p8 §7.2
  2. Confirm water and rinses

Check fresh water no higher than MAX and gentle tank seating. Record whether this follows ordinary cleaning or completed descaling. After descaling, both rinses and the orange-light completion must already be recorded in that task.

Look for: No cleaning residue or unfinished descaling remains before normal delivery.

    Manual: p6 §2; p11 §12 steps7–13
  3. Check readiness with the dial closed

Power the assembled appliance normally and keep the dial at ○. Observe initial self-diagnosis and heating, then the steady coffee-ready lights.

Look for: Record the actual light pattern; all lights flashing with no function requires disconnection and support.

    Manual: p6 §3; p12 §13; p14 §14
  4. Place the container and observe delivery

When coffee-ready, put a cup under the holder spouts and use the normal coffee button for the intended brew or water-only observation. Keep the holder attached while liquid is delivered.

Look for: Record normal delivery, absent delivery or a leak. Stop for an abnormal result.

    Manual: p7 §4; p10 §11.3; pp13–14 §14
  5. Check after delivery

After flow stops, leave the holder attached for the settling period described in §4 and let parts cool before handling. Look for a displaced tray, rim leak or liquid from the body.

Look for: A recurring symptom has a named next task or service route.

    Manual: p7 §4; pp13–14 §14
  6. Save the next action

Record the next action: normal use, a specific linked troubleshooting task, or Customer Services. Keep the actual observation in the record even when more maintenance is needed.

Look for: The record describes what was observed; it does not certify an internal repair.

    Manual: pp13–14 §14

5. Keep your result

Record what you observed. A completed checklist does not certify that equipment is repaired.

When to check again

After user cleaning or a completed descale.

Repeat the check if this symptom returns. Any reminder date is your own plan; the manual gives no scheduled interval for this check.
